For many years Montpelier High School's Earth Group has been working with community members to clean up the Winooski Rover.

We have annually found hundreds of tires in the river. In response to this problem students have drafted a bill to add a redeemable deposite onto the sales of tires in Vermont.

This would cut down pollution and illegal dumping of tires in Vermont and support the used tire market.

We are presenting the bill to the House Committe of Natural Recources and Energy FRIDAY FEBRUARY 10--anyone and everyone is welcome to attent to show their support for the bill.
