To retain the integrity of the school system faculty and other employees, situations that could compromise ethical standards shall be avoided. School district employees shall not sell or advertise any product or service during school hours. School district employees shall not promote or use any student to promote any non-school-sponsored program during school hours. School district employees shall not use school property or equipment for private use or any non-school-sponsored program.

School district employees shall not use professional relationships with students for private advantage. Members of the instructional staff are expected to provide tutoring assistance without compensation to any pupil regularly enrolled in one of their classes who is in need of such assistance. They may, however, tutor other pupils after school hours for compensation when such arrangements have been approved in writing by the building principal.

School district employees shall conduct themselves in a manner that will not bring discredit or embarrassment to the school district. School district employees shall not engage in sexual activities or sexual contact with current students. School district employees who function as supervisors shall not engage in sexual activities or sexual contact with supervisees, students, trainees, interns, or other colleagues over whom they exercise professional authority.
