Kindergarten Mathematics Curriculum
Counting and Cardinality
1.Counts by ones, from any given number, to 100.
2.Counts by tens, from any multiple of ten, to 100.
3.Counts out objects up to 20 and writes the number to represent the amount.
4.Compares two numbers between 1 and 10
Operations and Algebraic Thinking (K.OA)
1.Knows automatically all addition and subtraction facts within 5.
2.Solves addition and subtraction word problems within 10.
3.Builds numbers within 10 in more than one way. (ex. 5=2+3 and 4+1=5)
4.Can make 10 when given any number 1-9 (using objects or drawings).
5.Builds a teen number as a group of ten and some more. (ex. 18=10+8)
Measurement and Data
1.Describes measurable attributes of an object and compares it to another object with same attribute.
1.Uses words above, below, beside, in front, etc. to describe the position of an object compared to another.
2.Identifies, describes, and compares two-dimensional or three-dimensional shapes.
3.Composes simple shapes to form larger shapes.
