Third Grade Science Curriculum
1.Students engage in research skills to learn about the solar system, and the properties of individual planets.
1.Students learn about electricity through a series of lessons and inquiry based experiments related to circuits.
1.Students develop an understanding of interdependence in the natural world by observing animal behavior, acting it out, reading about it and discussing it. (ECO: Educating Children Outdoors).
Motion and Stability
1.Students learn about concepts related to “force and motion” through a series of lessons and activities using spears and bows and arrows.
1.Students learn how the structure and habitat of an animal affects it’s survival and evolution.
