.Hi. I’m Brooke Pearson and, in my position as Community Service Coordinator, I match students with individuals and organizations in the community in need of volunteer assistance. Having coached youth sports, supported arts organizations, and served on numerous local, state, and national boards and commissions over the years, I am a firm believer in the importance and value of contributing to one’s community. By sharing their time and talents with others, students come to appreciate not only their roles and responsibilities as members of their community, but also their ability to make a real difference in the lives of others and the satisfaction that comes from doing so. While the Montpelier School District does not have a community service requirement, more and more students are seeking out opportunities to give back to their community. In response to both their interests and requests from others, I have the exciting and rewarding job of seeking out and responding to needs in the community and instilling in our young citizens a broader and deeper sense of community and their place in and responsibility to it.
