Serves as a resource person for health education.
Monitors the school conditions for a healthful school environment.
Networks with community health professionals.
Prepares health budget.
Maintains the confidential health files on students.
Maintains Vermont State health policies re:
a. immunizations
b. medications
c. communicable diseases
d. illness and injuries
e. child abuse and neglect
f. substance abuse
Provides screenings for:
a. vision
b. hearing
c. height
d. weight
e. blood pressure
Provides teaching and counseling.
Provides a confidential/safe environment.
Assesses student health, providing first aid for illnesses and injuries.
Makes appropriate referrals.
Provides necessary inservice training for faculty.
Has a Bachelors degree in nursing.
Seeks out avenues for professional growth.
Is an integral part of the MHS community.
