Visual Arts Skill Development (AK:10)
  1. Student shows skill development when creating art by using line in various media (e.g. drawing, painting, sculpture) to create shape and image.
  2. Student shows skill development by incorporating the elements and principles of 2D and 3D design (e.g., 2D-identify color and create with color, line and shape).
  3. Student shows skill development by handling art tools and materials.
Reflection and Critique (AK:13)
  1. Student describes art using discipline specific vocabulary of visual art (e.g., thick/thin line, circle, square, rectangle, triangle).
Making Connections (AK:16)
  1. Student makes connections by describing and responding to works of art from various cultures and artists.
Approach To Work (AK:20, AK:21)
  1. Student develops personal work habits by demonstrating willingness to take part in the activity.
  2. Student demonstrates appropriate interactions by participating in individual and/or group work willingly and appropriately.
