Skill Development
- Student shows skill development when creating art by using the elements and principles of 2 and 3 dimensional design in art including line, color, shape, value, texture, form, space, balance, rhythm, repetition, etc., when creating drawings.
- Student shows skill development when creating art by drawing and observing real life objectives.
- Student shows skill development when creating art by selecting tools and materials for specific purposes.
- Student shows skill development when creating art by creating 3-dimensional objects from original drawings, using a variety of techniques and mediums (clay, wood, foam, additive and subtractive, sculpting).
- Student demonstrates, performs, and communicates skills in visual arts by selecting a piece of their own art for public exhibition and defending their choice.
- Student demonstrates, performs, and communicates skills in visual arts by demonstrating individual point of view to create meaning in their work.
- Student shows an understanding of visual arts concepts and vocabulary by describing and integrating elements and principles of design.
