School Behavior Expectations-Morning Meeting
This video is important because we show you how you should act in Morning Meeting. Why? To teach younger kids the expectations. As the older kids (we're 5th graders), we are the ones setting the example. And I’m certain that this video about C.A.R.E.S. (Cooperation Assertion Responsibility Empathy and Self-control) at morning meeting sets a great example. We put these videos on Youtube so everyone could see them.
HOW did we do this project? We made teams, wrote scripts, and made a few bloopers. It isn't as easy as it looks, making a video. First we filled out a chart that listed what actions, words and feelings we should demostrate in our video. Then we wrote scripts. Then came the filming. We filmed and edited, and made mistakes, too! That was how we made these videos.
We brainstormed what morning meeting looks like, sounds like, and feels like, and what we needed to demonstrate in our video. Our awesome video shows good behavior at morning meeting. Our message for you is : even if you just got to school, that's no excuse for not following C.A.R.E.S.!
